ABOUT US

The University of Wisconsin has long been at the forefront of research in a wide range of fields. Badger Technology Scholars (BTS) was formed to recruit the best and brightest graduate students in technology fields, as well as provide the tools and resources needed to advance technology.

Students selected as a Badger Technology Scholar will be eligible for a stipend which will provide funds to support equipment, travel, and additional funding to supplement their University financial package. We recognize that many of these students can benefit from having equipment to support their work, which may include computers and related equipment. There is also the need for these students to be able to travel to attend conferences, which will further develop their knowledge and offer opportunities to share this with others, enhancing the reputation of the University of Wisconsin. Finally, we want to offer a competitive financial package to attract strong candidates.

Badger Technology Scholars will be invited to an annual meeting with Badger alumni in Silicon Valley to establish projects, internships, and future job opportunities.

We will rely on a network of UW faculty, distinguished in their fields, to help us identify enlightened students that can benefit from the University of Wisconsin experience.
